Furaat partnered with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to implement a large-scale rainwater recharge system along the 32.5 km Greater Noida Metro corridor.
As part of this initiative, 500 rainwater recharge systems were strategically installed across the metro line to capture and manage rainwater effectively within the transit infrastructure. These systems collect runoff from station roofs, viaducts, and paved areas, filter it, and recharge it into the ground—ensuring that valuable rainwater is not lost.
Designed to suit linear infrastructure, the systems were deployed at multiple critical points to enable decentralized water management along the entire corridor.
